Yesterday’s sessions were inspiring! It’s the first time I’ve done an online conference, the interactivity was an unexpected surprise and handled so seamlessly by the presenters it was almost better than face-to-face sessions because they integrated the participant’s questions into the dialogue almost immediately.
I am a lone attendee for this AASLH “first”, representing a nonprofit historic house w/ 2 employees. The conference was funded thru our participation in a Texas HELP project presented by Mid-America Arts Alliance. I could not travel to Indiana due to a (weekly-weddings/receptions) fundraising event. There’s little time for enrichment w/ our schedule. I’ll certainly encourage museum studies students and museum professionals in our community to enroll in future online conferences when funding or scheduling issues would preclude the travel/time away. Thank you AASLH!
