Prepping for the Annual Meeting
Our Annual Meeting is several weeks earlier this year than usual so things are ramping up very, very quickly.
We have another fine crew of bloggers scheduled to bring you regular posts about this year’s annual meeting. In addition, we are asking Twitterers (is that a word?) to use the hashtage #aaslh2009 in their Tweets so that folks can follow these as well.
We are also excited to be offering our first-ever online conference concurrent to the onsite annual meeting. For details and a session schedule see: http://www.aaslh.org/online09
Last, Carol Kammen put into words much more eloquently than I the experience of attending and annual meeting in the attached PDF which you can find here Carol Kammen - In the Company of Our Peers (137)
I look forward to seeing many of you next week and hearing from those of you who cannot join us.

Hello everyone– I am excited to be one of your official bloggers for the annual meeting! I am Kyle McKoy, Director of the Eudcation & Outeach Divsion for the Arizona Historical Society. I plan on blogging often, because I’m excited about so many things that the annual meeting and Indianapolis have to offer.
I am looking so forward to catching up with old friends and meeting some new. The annual meeting always gives me the extra charge to my battery that I desperately need this time of year. Besides looking forward to all of the sessions, I am especially looking forward to Thursday night. Not only am I attending the “NIght on the Prairie,” but am also attending the “Follow the North Star” program. What a great idea for experiential learning–following the trek of escaped slaves on the underground railroad! I can’t wait to take part in this, meet the people who designed it, and firgure out how I can duplicate the learning experience in AZ.
I’ll be in touch!
