The
TLT Group's mission is "to motivate and enable
institutions and individuals to improve teaching and
learning with technology, while helping them cope with
continual change". The group's biggest asset is
its network of hundreds of leaders and institutions already
working together to solve common problems and share effective
strategies. Steve
Gilbert, President of The TLT Group, moderates TLT-SWG,
an internationally recognized forum focusing on issues
of teaching, learning, technology, and collaborative
change.
To further their mission, the TLT Group has joined with LearningTimes to create
an online, collaborative community area
for education professionals. The LearningTimes community is home to online workshops,
web-based events, and other opportunities
for collaboration among education professionals worldwide. LearningTimes has
also joined with The TLT Group and the Association of College & Research
Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association, to conduct
workshops for librarians and other information professionals.
