Paul Stacey
is a founding host and producer at LearningTimes.
Paul is a member of the Editorial Board of LearningTimes.org.
Paul is
the Director of Development for BCcampus,
a collaboration of post-secondary institutions in British Columbia,
Canada, providing an online central access point to post-secondary
online and distance learning courses, programs and resources.
Prior to joining
BCcampus Paul was responsible for Business Development at Simon
Fraser
University’s eLearning Innovation Centre
(eLINC).
eLINC is a central service group providing e-learning program planning,
design, development, and
delivery services to all three of SFU’s campuses.
Paul was a member of the founding team creating the Technical
University of British Columbia helping produce new high tech degree
programs where all the courses are online. Prior to the Technical
University Paul worked in the private sector for Hughes Aircraft
managing development and delivery of large scale, mission critical
training programs for international customers of Hughes' air traffic
control systems.
Paul has extensive
experience in the applied use of learning technology for corporate
and higher
education. He is active in the local and
national e-learning community, and currently sits on the Board
of Directors for eLearningBC,
a marketing and business alliance of BC’s e-learning companies.
Paul has a
public profile as an e-learning advocate through his monthly
E-Learning column on T-Net, the portal for BC’s
technology sector, and as as Host and Producer of online communities
and webcasts with LearningTimes.
He is also a ferquent e-learning speaker and workshop leader
On a personal
note Paul knows how to juggle, a skill which should serves him
well in all his endeavours, and is an avid ocean kayaker.
