Do you have a child who at seems to be really challenging at times?
Maybe one who shrieks at the mere mention of doing chores?
Or one who can’t seem to focus long enough to get through the morning routine?
How about a child who loses control the minute he finds out that the day's plans have been changed because of the weather?

All of these behaviors can be explained by understanding your child’s temperament, which is one of the factors that make him or her special and different from all other children . All parents can benefit from attending this program to learn ways to identify their children’s temperaments. You will gain a greater understanding of your children, which will help you to have more patience, be more accepting and create the best environment for your particular child to thrive.

We invite you to join us for this informative, fun and interactive program that will help to unravel some of the mysteries surrounding your child’s behavior.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 9:00 to 10:30 pm EDT.

PARENTING CENTER TIP:

Because temperament is inborn, we cannot change our children's temperament. What we can do is find ways to manage the challenging behaviors it causes. For example, a child with a high activity level can be encouraged to do some jumping jacks or shoot some baskets before being expected to sit still for a long time.
