Kris Bergquist

Kris Bergquist has been at the Hood Museum of Art since 2001 as the School and Family Programs Coordinator. She holds an M.S. in Museum Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a B.S. from the University of Kansas. While in graduate school, she completed internships at The Art Institute of Chicago and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Before beginning her career in museum education, Kris spent eight years working as an arts and entertainment reporter at the St. Cloud Times in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
At the Hood Museum of Art, Kris teaches about 600 children from schools in the Upper Valley through the multiple-visit programs, Images and ArtStart. The Images program brings students in grades 4-6 to the museum six times a year with visits spent in the museum galleries and an art-making studio. The ArtStart program brings students in grades 1–3 to the museum four times a year with visits spent in the museum galleries and an art-making studio. She also coordinates Family Day events, held on weekends about four times a year for children ages 6–12 and their adult companions, and other family programs.
