Community Professional (LTCP) Programs
LearningTimes is a leading producer of online communities
for education, collaboration and networking. The LearningTime
Network (LTN) consists of over 75 communities and 130,000
Members. Each of these communities has a distinct purpose,
and is designed and operated to meet the specific needs
of its members and sponsors.

LearningTimes operates communities that support online
conferences that are packed with live events; facilitate
scientific research and museum exhibit planning; and encourage
worldwide collaboration among education and training professionals.
LearningTimes integrates the tools and features that bring
online communities alive, including a wide range of virtual
classrooms; text, audio, and video discussion boards; and
dozens of creatine and effective activities.
Through
the LearningTimes Community Professionals (LTCP™) courses,
participants develop unique "mayoral" skills,
and an understanding of critical components necessary
to build strong, thriving, online communities.
The
LTCP program staff is led by LearningTimes Executive
Producer Jonathan Finkelstein, author of Learning
in Real Time (Jossey-Bass, July 2006).
LTCP students are often treated to engaging guest facilitators
who
bring a wide-range of "real-world" knowledge
to these exhilarating classes. |

I Certificate Program
LTCP 201:
"Starting an Online Community"
A very practical, hands-on program focused on the initial set-up, marketing
and ongoing operations of an online community.This workshop, which is based
within an online community itself, takes place over 4 weeks and covers
the essentials of developing community online for purposes such as collaboration,
learning, group projects, public outreach, professional development, online
conferences and membership groups.

II Certificate Program
LTCP 401:
"Building Communities that Thrive"
LearningTimes instructional staff and Certified "LearningTimes Mayors" will
lead you through best practices for creating vibrant collaborative online
environments that support your institution, organization, or affinity group.
Over the course of the program students design, and begin to implement,
a specialized “Community Development Master Plan.” Students
begin to build and develop a number of important elements, including: market
/ audience research; outreach plan; staffing plan; and event and activity
plans.
