Discussion Forums
Many of the sessions in the Online Conference feature a Discussion Forum. A Discussion Forum is similar to a series of related e-mail exchanges, except that it takes place in an area of the Online Conference Community site. Discussion boards, sometimes referred to as "web boards" or "threaded discussion forums', allow people to interact online without anyone needing to be online at the same time. Like other sections of the Online Conference Community Area, the main Discussion Forum screen displays folders and then most recently updated threads in the main section. Remember, you can always find the discussion area for a presentation by starting in the "Session Materials" area and looking under "Related Content" for a given session. You can also make use of the "Search" feature within the discussion area to look for a particular topic.
