As Executive Vice President of Content Development and Operations at Jones Knowledge™, Inc., Kim Dority was responsible for the design, development, and expansion of the world's first cyber library designed to support online research – e-global library®. She assembled and oversaw a development team of information specialists to create an Internet-based academic library to support the research needs of all students.
 

Previously, Ms. Dority served as the Visiting Associate Director of the Library and Information Sciences Program at the University of Denver (DU). Ms. Dority is an information professional who has worked with libraries and various aspects of gathering, synthesizing, publishing, and presenting information over the past 15 years. Additionally, Ms. Dority has provided consulting research and advisory services related to publishing, strategic information resources, and information management. Prior to her responsibilities at DU, she worked with the National Cable Television Center and Museum to design and develop archival and library collections. She also spent several years expanding her knowledge of reference tools, both print and electronic, as acquisitions editor for Libraries Unlimited, a nationally known publisher of reference books and textbooks for libraries and the information profession.

Ms. Dority holds a master's degree in library and information science from DU. Her current writing projects include a book on career mapping for information professionals and a guide to reference and research on the Internet for distance education students. She has also written or co-authored several other books, including Guide to Recommended Reference Books for Small and Medium-Sized Libraries; Recommended Reference Books 1986-1990; Guide to Subject Encyclopedias and Dictionaries (co-author); and Guide to Biographical Resources (co-author). Ms. Dority is on the board of the Library Science Master's Degree program at DU.
