Errichetti offer some brief remarks on receiving this award:As a 4th and 5th grade teacher in Cherry Hill New Jersey, Jini Errichetti I uses web sites and videos to incorporate Media Literacy Lessons into her curriculum. She works to develop and refine the student’s critical thinking and viewing skills. She is the only person in the district that oversees the technical problems, provides professional development to the teachers and makes them aware of the possible ways videoconferencing can enhance their lessons, either by electronic field trips or collaboration with schools across the country. In addition to teaching library skills to students K-5, Jini is the school's co-webmaster and yearbook editor. She has served on the Computer Curriculum and Distance Learning Committees. She has taught an Educational Media class at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and presented in-service programs for teachers in the district. In September, 1998, Mrs. Errichetti was proud to become the district's first Instructional Television Coordinator. |
