I’m the VP of Online Marketing & Communications at Defenders of Wildlife, an environmental nonprofit focused on endangered species and habitat conservation. Hello everyone. My name is Orla Quinlan. I’m the Head of Programme Funding in the International Division in Oxfam. I’ll be calling in from Oxford. Some of my colleagues will join me for some of the sessions. I ran a master class and a couple of workshops at the 2008 IFC where I enjoyed meeting other professional fund- raisers. LEAP is Law Enforcement Against Prohibition – a group of criminal justice professionals who speak about their experiences fighting the failed War on Drugs. I am the director of The Quarry: Artists in Recovery, in Association with the Estate of Janis Joplin. We are a new non-profit organization in the process of creating an artist-in-residency program for visual artists, musicians and writers in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. This facility will be an artist retreat dedicated to sober creativity. We are located in Tucson, Arizona.

My non-profit provides remote public schools with scarce resources with educational television facilities so they can access programs in Math, Science and English.

For the past fifteen years I have had the pleasure of working with large and small charitable organizations around the world. I retired last year, got bored, and found myself engaged in political fundraising.
