Fielding Diversity Summit

Fielding Graduate University is hosting a Diversity & Social Justice Summit in conjunction with our HOD/PSY and ELC national sessions in July, 2009. Open to all members of the Fielding Community, the Summit will be a combination of residential and web-based events. Face-to-face events will be held in Kansas City and Atlanta. The Web-based events will include some of the Kansas City and Atlanta offerings as well as online dialogue the week in between the two sessions.

The goals for the Summit are:

• To document Fielding’s achievements and continuing challenges in the areas of social justice and diversity.
• To offer participants the opportunity to engage these issues on a personal level and to learn and grow through dialogue.
• To set a university-wide agenda for diversity and social justice at Fielding during 2010–2012 based on a consistent and operational set of definitions.
