IMPORTANT
TECHNICAL NOTES:
If this is your first time accessing the virtual classroom, you may be
prompted to download Sun Microsystem's Java Web Start (or OpenJNLP for
Mac), a pre-requisite for the virtual classroom. You only need to do this
the first time you access a live event or recording. (See additional technical
information about session playback below.)
TECHNICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
The archive is accessible on both PC and Macintosh platforms. The minimum
PC requirements are a Pentium II 266 Mhz with 64MB of memory and a sound
card. The minimum Mac requirements are a G3 233 Mhz with 64MB of memory
when using OS 9.0 - 9.2 or 128MB of memory when using OS X.
NOTES
ABOUT PLAYBACK:
A few moments after you enter the session recording, the audio will begin.
If you are on a slower connection (i.e. dial-up modem), it may take somewhat
longer. Please be patient.
You may pause
the recording at any time using the pause button at the top
left of the interface, and then click play to resume. You can
also fast-forward using the controls at the top left; click
the play button when you are ready to resume at normal speed.
Note: Once inside the archive playback area, for the best audio
quality, you may want to use the pause button to wait for the
blue bar at the bottom left to fully load before clicking the
start button.
