LearningTimes
has designed and deployed a robust online learning
community
for the Center
for Technology and School Change at Columbia
Teachers College, which enables
Columbia
professionals
to
reach educational constituencies at a distance in very human, engaging ways. Community
activities include professional development webcasts, ongoing asynchronous discussions
on
curriculum development, and online meetings to plan lesson strategies.
Working
with the Institute
for Learning Technologies at Columbia
Teachers College, LearningTimes
has also produced a number
of
online and
classroom-based
learning programs, communities and unique professional development
tracks for educators.
LearningTimes is also a partner with Eduventures and Reed
Exhibitions in the production of two online, interactive community sites
which function as
companions
to the Educational Technology Summits held
at Columbia Teachers College. The online sites feature live webcasts, on-demand
collaboration tools, and other opportunities for conference attendees to interact
with keynote speakers and network with colleagues both before and after the Summits.
