Last minute details

I’ve gotten quite a few emails and phone calls this week for final preparations for the annual meeting in Indianapolis. I admit that I go into it a bit frazzled of brain as we finish up last-minute details but I also look forward to the energy of being around my peers for almost a week.

From the sessions from which I learn so much, to provocative speakers, to evening events that give us a chance to visit what Indy has to offer, to the on- and offline conversations continually happening, the AASLH annual meeting is one of the highlights of my year.

So amidst typing and printing agendas, making sure all of the appropriate files are on my USB stick, finalizing PowerPoint presentations, and normal job duties, I am one slightly tired but very excited “history geek.” (I just hope I don’t forget my ties again, like I did for AAM in Philly.)

I hope that y’all will follow along on the blog, Twitter, or register for our online conference. And I look forward to seeing/hearing from many of you once we hit Indianapolis.
