This presentation seemed to have less to do with collection development (fiction, nonfiction, databases) than the physical technology resources that have been incorporated. I did not attend the exploratorium session, this is just my reflection from viewing the attached powerpoint. So, it brings us to an interesting question, how is collection development defined? Is it the sum of library assets or does it specifically address resources like books and databases?

This is quite timely and important because there are a plethora of literature on the market and many social issues such as lesbianism, loneliness, drugs, and others. Then there those who will read the mundane books horror, adventure, and others. tHen collection will reflect balanced choices
