Welcome to b there – Your Virtual Track Pass
Greetings!
Ever since the conference committee began its tenure after the 2007 Reno conference, we have worked tirelessly to prepare the best conference for you with added value. We think the AASL 14th National Conference & Exhibition delivers! You will receive the quality programming and events that you have come to expect from AASL, plus online content available for all levels with b there – Your Virtual Track Pass.
The technology that will allow more participant interaction is phenomenal! b there – Your Virtual Track Pass, the AASL 14th National Conference & Exhibition offered in a virtual setting, will extend the benefits far after the event is over. Track Pass registration provides you full-access to session podcasts and materials, “do-it-yourself” professional development guides, live webinars, and so much more! You’ll have access to all of this and the ability to dialogue with the participants and presenters on blogs and discussion forums for an entire year. Now that’s professional development value! Also look for the opportunity to turn the virtual conference into a way for you to get much needed graduate credit by going to the AASL b there conference page on the AASL Web site.
Many of the benefits of b there will provide you a parallel experience to conference attendees, as eight webinars and the Research Symposium will be live-streamed directly through the virtual conference site, links to issues of the conference daily The Advocate, and conference bloggers and forums examine topics under discussion not only in sessions but among your colleagues in the halls of the Charlotte Convention Center. In addition to your parallel components, you’ll also have on-demand access to danah boyd’s keynote address and interview, as well as interviews with a number of authors, including James Patterson. You asked us for more authors and we’ve got more authors than ever!
Your registration to b there will virtually provide you with as many opportunities. Be sure to complete your member profile! Becoming a visible, active member of the conference community will help you get the most out of your conference experience. Having a completed profile and uploaded photo will enable you to better network with your colleagues during and after the conference. With an entire year of access, you’ll want to be sure to remain connected to this vibrant community.
We are looking for more bang for our buck during this economic downturn, and AASL delivers. With the virtual conference, you can b there from anywhere. However, we hope that all of you will elect to join us in Charlotte and increase your benefits of registration.
b there or be in Charlotte!
Jay and Ann Marie
