1 - FREE LIVE WEBCAST:
Palloff & Pratt on "The Virtual Student"

Keith Pratt and Rena Palloff Drs. Rena Palloff and Keith Pratt return to LearningTimes to interact with members live online. The focus of this webcast will be on practical ideas for working with online students. 6 - WSIS: POWER USERS ROUNDTABLE DISPATCHES FROM GENEVA

The ICT Literacy Community within LearningTimes will be featuring daily reports -- in the form of audio blogs, text blogs, and other dispatches -- from the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), a meeting sponsored by the United Nations which takes place December 10-12 in Geneva, Switzerland.


On behalf of LT community members unable to attend WSIS, ICT Literacy Community correspondents on the ground in Geneva will be closely covering the WSIS "Power Users Roundtable," co-sponsored by EDC, which looks closely at "young people who have become self-directed learners of technology, mastering the technology tools and software needed to achieve their needs and wants."

8 - "TOOLSDAYS"
Member-led Online Sessions on Collaboration Tools

A "Toolsday" is a member-led, live online "show and tell" session in which a collaborative tool or activity that enhances learning is showcased. The spotlight may be turned on a new collaborative use for an existing or readily available tool; the concatenation of a series of tools in an engaging manner; or on a specific tool that enables effective collaboration in the learning process.

Toolsday meetings are organized and led by the "Learning Collaboration Tools (LCT) Working Group" within LearningTimes. All LTN members are welcome. You can see dates for the first Toolsday sessions of 2004 in the LT events calendar at:
